how do i make a solar panel at home?

i have a homework project for n.s. we have to take one energy and convert it into another one any ideas would be helpful too?!

There’s a fabulous site that has lots of build it yourself solar projects. http://www.builditsolar.com/ This is not to be confused with those scam sites promising to power your house for $200, avoid those at all costs.
Build it Solar has projects for solar water heating that would be perfect for you.
You can’t make a solar panel that converts sunlight to electricty at home. You have to buy a ready made panel, and connect it up.
However you can make one that converts sunlight to heat, like in a hot water system. These are usually called solar absorption panels. A length of hose left in the sun heats up water in it Black poly pipe is better.You need a storage tank so the temperature can build up, using a pump or convection. Look up "homemade solar hot water" which gets plenty of hits.

The batch heater (solar shower) might be closer to what you need.
